  3. Jean Louis Riel Sr. b. 1817 did not marry Julie Lagimodiere until 21 Jan. 1844 so how could he have had a daughter born c.1840 named Marguerite who married Jean Baptiste Zace. All official online historical records only show 1 marriage for Jean Louis Riel Sr. and that was to Julie. There is no official proof which I could locate where Louis Sr. married a Marie Swampy as is shown in some Trees. Library & Archives Canada doesn’t even identify a Metis Scrip record for a Marguerite Riel. If You find me in error please reply.
